  1. Oh Ruthie, don't you know owls can't read blogs, not even thru the window.

  2. What a neat shot!

We are into our second winter when we haven't seen even one rabbit on our property or anywhere we've been out and about. Don't even see any signs of them in the woods. I need to talk to somebody who knows why rabbits are in such a down cycle in our part of the country (NE Minnesota).

  3. Oh, what a great catch! We sometimes have a few scampering through our backyard, which drives our own dogs nutty.

  7. Looks like a satisfying buffet for several owls. Can you set up your motion photo thing for night shots?

  8. that's true Mom.....all the bunnies were still there this morning!

    Hi Mama Pea,
Wonder if the DNR could shed any light on the bunny population decline in your area?

    Hi Lisa,
    :-)

    Hi Molly,
I was lucky to snap this photo right before our dog went out too, she loves to chase them--esp. when they're so close to the house.

    Hi Deb,
There was another one nearby, but couldn't get that one into the photo. We're seeing more than usual this year too.

Ghost is always welcome Dave! I would love to add a Snowy Owl to my backyard list too!

    Hi Jayne,
For cottontails, they do look like pretty good-sized bunnies

    Hi Gaelyn,
I wish the trail camera would work for that, but this time of year it's just way too cold for it to function properly on the alkaline batteries.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Even though I don't always get a chance to respond right away, please know that I (and many others!) enjoy reading them.
