'Tis the Season??
Look what showed up in my mailbox today:
How many days till Christmas??? Too bad I'm not one of those people who's organized enough to start buying or making Christmas gifts already.
I suppose my LL Bean Christmas book will show up shortly. Right now I can't think that far ahead, 1st comes Thanksgiving. I imagine that my JC Penney Christmas book will be coming in a matter of days also. Right now it's too warm to think Christmas, I need a little snow and cold weather. MOM
Oh, me neither Ruthie. I know people who start at the end of the last Christmas season... what's the point? That's half the fun... thinking of what to get weeks before. ;c)
This is obscene. I now get most of my mail at the post office where I can sort through it next to the recycling bin. I must be on every sucker list known to marketers.
Ugh.

P.S. Sorry for whining via email the other night about my sorry life and not enough time. I'll send the pickles recipe soon. Still running to catch up.
Hi Mom, It's just weird to see this catalog with people in deep snow when I'm still walking to the mailbox in shorts.
Hi Jayne, I'm with you...the shopping and preparing are much more fun in December!
Hi Lynne, There's some good stuff in there & cute puppy pictures too!
Hi Ruth, LOL at your comment
Hi Robin, I used to get many more catalogs than I do now. They're fun to look through, but I almost never order anything.
Don't worry about the recipes....when things calm down for you, I'll still be here :-)
Hi Mary, I think it's funny they send this out so early and then in December I keep getting notices that they can still ship up to December 23rd in time for Christmas!
Hi Donna, I'm with you. I liked it when Christmas didn't appear till after Thanksgiving, and I've been seeing Halloween everywhere since Sept. 1st.
I buy them all last minute.-I have made a deal with most of my family not to exchange gifts any more. I really do enjoy the Christmas spirit. My birthdy is on December 28th and my sister Michelle's was on the 30th.
Hi Larry, We don't exchange gifts in our family anymore either, so anything from this catalog is purchased for myself. I do use their sweaters for pattern inspiration though.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. Even though I don't always get a chance to respond right away, please know that I (and many others!) enjoy reading them.

I love Christmas BUT I never plan for it until the last minute. Like Ruth said, "Ughhhh."
ReplyDeleteI guess my Christmas edition of LL Bean will arrive soon...to be totally ignored until December 1.
The seasons get pushed further and further away from where they really are.
