Every morning I find a few minutes to start my day with a smile by visiting the ICanHasCheezburger site for some puppeh and kitteh humor. Here's one of the LOL puppehs I found today. I just thought it was appropriate for my blog. :-D

Very appropriate Ruthie. Now you need to knit a sweater for your dog.
Daisy needs one of those!
Thanks for sharing the neat site. We got home from Colorado last night to find a 3 inch thick skating rink on our driveway. Yuk!
Hi Lisa,
I have a pattern and some blue yarn to knit a sweater for Sophie because she's cold all winter long. I hope to get started on it during my upcoming 4-day weekend (updates will be posted!)
Hi Dana,
Do you think Daisy would wear a sweater? I've knitted blankets for my kitties, but never a sweater.
Hi Troutbirder,
It got pretty warm here while you were gone--there's lots of icy spots around our yard too and I have to watch my step when filling birdfeeders.
I saw that one too and immediately thought of you.
Yep, gonna have to knit for your puppeh.
This is cute and I must say that he looks very good in that sweater!
Oh how cute...Love all you nice knitted Christmas gifts... make me want to get crafty
Okay, apologies to all of you who have heard this old joke in one form or another but, Ruthie, your picture this morning reminded me, and I can't resist.
A woman was driving her car down the road while knitting furiously. A squad car saw her go by so took chase. As he got close to the woman's car he put his head out the window and yelled, "Pull over!"
He repeated this action several times but the woman did not stop. He finally got ahead of her and forced her over to the curb.
Getting out of the squad car he stomped up to her and said, "Ma'am, didn't you hear me yelling 'Pull over?'."
The woman looked up at him innocently and said, "Oh, I'm sorry, Officer. I thought you heard me. I yelled back to you that it's a cardigan."
Congrats on getting your Etsy Shop open. Best of luck!
You know, I have another friend who loves the ICanHasCheezburger thing, and I JUST DON'T GET IT! I don't understand why (they use) the phonetic spelling. What's my problem?
Off to cook and clean and wrap Christmas presents for friends coming over for dinner tonight.
:)
Yes, Ruthie. It is definitely apropo for you and your blog. ;o)
Gads, that chick in the truck even LOOKS kinda like you ;)
Your Sissy
Hi Lynne,
I just went downstairs and found the pattern and as soon as I'm done commenting here, I'm starting Sophie's sweater!
You're right Shelley...the natural color of that yarn goes well with the puppeh's hair color!
Thanks Dawn. Beware though--this craft is very addictive.
OMG, Mama Pea, I cracked up when I read that joke--I've never heard it before! A woman I knew when I worked at Mayo used to knit while she drove the Interstate to work--since it was mostly straight driving, she'd just put it in cruise control and steer with her knees while using her hands to knit. I'm lucky--I have a driver!
Hi ChickenMama,
I just like looking at it to see what kind of clever captions people come up with for the animal poses (sometimes I have a problem figuring out what the words are though)
Thanks Mary C, I just thought the dog was awful cute too.
Thanks Sissy (I think!)
This is hysterical! I love it!
Happy new year, Ruthie!
XO
Martie
THAT'S SO YOU! You hit the jackpot on this one :o)
Perfectly appropriate, perfectly hilarious. I check ICHC every day, too, along with CuteOverload. I think my days would be quite drab without those little doses of humor!
And people who try to knit while driving - seriously?! I thought folks w/their cell phones were bad! You knitters, geesh! =wink=
Enjoy your 4-day weekend!
I looked at the site ICanHasCheezburger, what a hoot, it is totally funny. Where did you ever find this site? Dad enjoyed it too.
I see your Etsy Shop is open, what a development this is. Hope it works for you.
MOM
That's perfect Ruthie!
