Chickadee Takes a Bath

As we were eating supper last nite, a Black-Capped Chickadee arrived to take a rather vigorous bath in the deck pool.
Fortunately, it's right outside the dining room window, so I quickly reached around to my desk and grabbed my camera to capture this one quick photo. Isn't it amazing how much water this tiny little bird is able to splash around?

Great photo of the chickadee in full bath action! Amazing. If anyone is interested in watching a falcon cam, here is one from Harrisburg, PA. The scrape is on the ledge of Rachel Carson Government Building--the new Mom (the previous female was there for 12 years and apparently died in a fight with the new female) had 4 eggs and two hatched two or three days ago: http://www.pacast.com/players/falcon.asp Take a look-and turn the sound on--then you'll hear when a fresh kill has arrived! talk about up close and personal. Whew.

Thanks Allen & Debby.

Me too Marsha! Fun to watch, but hard to catch them in action.

For sure Gaelyn!

Thanks Donna.

Thanks for the link Mollie -- I'll have to check it out. It's always better when they have sound too!
