State Fair Trip

Yesterday Mr. Johnson and I visited the Minnesota State Fair. I took a whole bunch of pictures of animals (like this adorable baby pig) and posted them on my Facebook page.
I was able to narrow the photos down to 94 and I hope you'll be able to enjoy them by clicking on this link to see the album.

Such cute little wieners and those lamas look like oversized poodles. Very cool to see the butterflies. Looks like you ate well. The fair is always fun. Happening in Flagstaff this weekend but don't think I'll make it. Too bad, because Edgar Winter will be performing.

I have been a total pig nut since seeing BABE for the first time. So smart and so maligned!

Looks as though you two had quite a fun time at the State Fair. There is always so much to see and do there, and the treats are so delicious! Did you take a ride on the Sky Glider? It provides quite a different and interesting view of the area.

Glad you enjoyed it Mollie, plus it was calorie-free for you! ;-)

Thanks Gaelyn. It was a fun time. We picked a good day, the cooler weather held down the crowds.

Thanks Jayne. Glad you enjoyed it.

I'm crazy for pigs too Martie--esp. those baby ones!

Oh Donna, those little piggies were so sweet and soft--very lovable!

Hi Stephen,
We did ride the Sky Glider and we were lucky on Thursday because I heard they had to shut it down on Friday due to high winds.

Thank Meggie. Glad you enjoyed it.

Oh, I miss cheese curds!

The deep fried Twinkie...URP!

What is the white part of the Walleye on a stick? I would have guessed it was some kind of pastry.

The pictures were such fun!

Hi Mary Lee,
I wish I knew why fair cheese curds taste so much better than cheese curds you can get anywhere else! Maybe it's special fair grease they're fried in or the fact that we're eating them outside??
The white stuff on the walleye is tartar sauce.
Glad you enjoyed the state fair trip!
