Stories & pictures about birds & nature, mostly in my backyard.....with occasional bits of pets, knitting, weather, food & family thrown in for variety.
I offered to trade our weather last week (you remember those lovely -20 degree days, right?) with other people. The best response I got was "no way...you're where I look to remind myself it's worse somewhere else."
Brrrr.... We're finally out of the single digits here in PA, but apparently not for long.
What I dislike about this whole "winter" thing up here (as opposed to the south) is that not only is it below freezing; it's below freezing for weeks at a time! One or two days here and there--that I could live with. I gotta have a chance to thaw out!
Hi Donna, I sure hope they had a nice warm blanket to wrap that poor puppeh in.
Hi Troutbirder, It reminded me of our first puppeh that we got in January--that little one learned very quickly what she needed to do outside to be allowed right back in the house!
Hi Dana, Would Daisy ever go out in the snow like this?
Oh Cindie, enjoy your heat wave while it lasts!
Hi Danielle, I remember those -25 days well--my poor GSP couldn't do her job fast enough! Running through the snow she looked like the puppeh in this post.
Hi Mary, :-D
Hi Delia, If it makes you feel any better, we haven't been above freezing since sometime in early December (of 2008!)
Hi Cindy, Congratulations--I just had a feeling you'd be seeing them soon too!
Hi Lisa, I think you're right--that pup looks a lot smaller than a bunneh even!
Hi Gaelyn, :-D
Cute for sure Dawn!
Hi Meggie, We're sub-zero for the weekend again, but the long-range forecast is for mid to upper-20s by the end of next week. It's amazing how happy we are for predictions like that this time of year.
I'm a middle-aged, tattooed biker woman, forced to work to support my knitting & bird-feeding habits. I share my indoor space with 1 husband and 1 dog -- a rescued pitbull.

Nobody told me it snows in MN!!!! 1000 for cuteness, luv it, luv it.
MOM
Awww--poor puppeh. The only consolation--it is no doubt a posed photo and someone scooped said puppeh up right after the photo was taken.
That pups not that bright... Er I mean inexperienced!
I am waiting for the new zellweger movie!
Poor cold puppy. I certainly don't envy you Minnesota folks. We're having a heat wave here in Ohio...it's currently 52 degrees...yay!!

I have Redpolls, I have Redpolls!!!
That poor little dog. I bet it could run through the critter tunnels in the deep snow. It better look out becasue it would be Great Horned Owl bait.
Deh lied. LOL
aww...how cute...
There's snow in Minnesota? Who knew?! I guess you can't always believe what you hear.
Hi Deb & Mom,
I thought it was pretty cute too.

HeHeHe... that would me ME! Too cute Ruthie!
That poor cute puppeh! He looks like he's about buried in the snow.
What a look! Cold is just relative. you do get used to it sometimes. (not!)
I'm laughing over that puppy - he looks like he's in an avalanche!
Hi Heather,
That's exactly what I thought when I saw that picture!
Hi Jayne,
So I guess you're not interested in moving to Minnesota any time soon??
You got that right Red--it's either a really small doggeh or very deep snow!
Hi Ruth,
That puppeh definitely has the "if looks could kill" expression on its face!
Hi Shelley,
I know--poor little thing! A puppeh like that just isn't made for Minnesota winters.
Now that is one (cute) cold puppy! LOL!
