C'mer Deer!

So, I think I've got this deer hunting thing all wrong.....instead of getting up early, driving to the hunting spot, walking almost a mile to get to my stand, climbing a tree and then struggling to stay awake with amusing glove retrieval exercises....I could have just bought a trampoline for my backyard and the deer would come to me. I could even shoot from the patio door in my pajamas!

Someone at work sent me this picture today and I couldn't resist posting it on my blog.

This is GREAT!!! These are the kind of deer WE have! I expect to wake up any day and see one napping on the wicker furniture.

OKAY OKAY I see what you want for your Christmas wish list this year. That is the most unusual and coolest picture of deer this year hands down. Where will you put it so it doesn't get buried under snow?

I hope they don't spook those guys! By by jumping machine!

Yes, I can just see those deer being spooked and getting their antlers snagged in the trampoline. What a sight to look out and see this. I bet they don't have a flower left in their garden.

Oh, and yes I must see a picture of the deer napping on Robins wicker furniture. I don't know if my sides could take the image. I would just pop laughing. Almost did just reading that comment.

LOL! You are too funny. I'd be a little slayed to see them in someone's back yard, too :o)

I might think of it as the deer gazebo. WOW!

Hi Robin,
You'll know you're in trouble when they learn how to use the doorbell! BTW--wait till they discover those swell new bird feeders in your backyard....

Hi Mom,
Isn't that the best picture? It looks as though they're just laying there to be in some shade. The photo must be from somewhere they don't have many trees or woods for deer to find shade.

Hi Jennifer,
Not sure of the location of this picture, but I agree....it is a riot!

Hi Mon@rch,
Can't you just hear it:
"No kids, you can't go out on the trampoline when the deer are napping...." "Aaaawwwww, Mom"

Hi Lisa,
You're right....that many deer could graze off a flower bed in just one evening!
Robin's a riot, isn't she? Check out this post she did a couple months back about her vicious, deer-chasing dog: http://bumblebeeblog.com/journal/2007/9/4/just-deserts-for-deer-090407.html

Hi Mary,
They must feel pretty safe there because it looks pretty close to the house!

Hi Trixie,
It would be fun to see how in the heck they get in and out of there without catching those antlers on the trampoline springs

Hi Jayne,
I was hoping it would give everyone a little chuckle.

I thought about you when Nancy at 'The Past Whispers' sent this pix along. That is really incredible. At first I thought it must have been photo shopped.
